THE BODY OF WORK
In New South Wales, Year 12 Visual Arts students submit a Body of Work as a required component of the Higher School Certificate (HSC) examination. In this Body of Work they demonstrate their understanding of artmaking as a practice by representing their ideas and interests through the interpretation of subject matter across single or multiple expressive forms.
Students curate their artmaking practice as a Body of Work by selecting works for examination with the aim of representing a coherent point of view in relation to the conceptual strength and meaning and material practice in the production of their artworks. The Body of Work is conceived and executed by the student under the supervision of the Visual Arts teacher.
